One of the first things I noticed about Ultimate Gaming was that for a company that was established in 2012, their branding appeared to be much older. The very first thing I started working on and pushing for in my free time was an update to the branding. It took almost a year to get approval but my team finally got through all the red tape.
We had a lot of restrictions but in the end I think we were able to modernize the branding without it being such a huge departure from the original look that we would need to reestablish the brand. We removed the spade, got rid of the white outline, thickened the lines, flattened the colors out, and tightened up the sizing and spacing of all the elements to create harmony across the brands.
